run masking tape over your edges of the surfaces/corners, sand the rest of part flat then come back and do the taped parts. don't feel too bad it is easy to burn through the edges and corners.

Even if I wanted to Luke, which I don't, I woulnd't be able to do it again this year. It was barely warm enough to do it last weekend, the weather isn't going to allow for it. A body shop will have a heated paint booth, and they'll also be able to bake and properly cure the paint. I'm going to have it professionally done, that way I've got nothing to worry about.
I am disappointed in your josh...buy a heater and stick it in your garage.
Sorry Trent, not painting in the garage again. I've got some... cleaning to do after this last paint job. I'll feel better having it done by the pros, who have better equipment and more experience. It was a good learning experience, though.
The floor in my garage is a pretty deep shade of grey, in the areas that weren't covered. :D
I have some spots in my garage with a little RoyalBlau Metallic, others with SterlingSilber, yet others with black.
Unless/until I epoxy my garage floor, I don't really care.
I don't own my house, Dave... :D
Anyway, it's cool. I just remembered, I have a friend through a friend who paints cars as a side job (really well), and told me that if I ever needed anything painted, he'd give me a deal.

Well, unfortunately I found out yesterday that the guy I know who does paint moved to West VA. :( But, my options aren't exhausted yet, I have a friend who's dad owns a local body shop, I've always taken my cars there, and he's always given me great deals on work. I called him yesterday and he told me to bring the stuff by, and he'd see what he could do about repairing the fucked up areas, and could probably save me a lot of money since it wouldn't need all new prep work.
But at least today there was a little bit of progress made, my hardware order from BMA showed up today. $50 worth of nuts, bolts and plastic clips. I love new hardware:
Good news today! As I said above, I have a friend from high school who's dad owns a local body shop. I took the stuff by there today, and he told me all I have to do is get the paint sanded back down, and he'll shoot all 3 of the pieces for me for $100.
