I wonder just how much a body shop would charge to do something like this. I just don't have all the tools needed to do this rear valance and I really want to still do this...sigh
I was going by Jordan's procedure, and his method called for the slots to be enlarged vertically, although I've been told by a couple of peole that they didn't have to modify them at all. We'll see when I get it mounted.

And as far as having a body shop perform this job, the hours of labor alone would quickly exceed the cost and/or worth of your car. Not to say that your car isn't worth anything, I'm saying that this isn't a quick and simple "couple of days" job. It took a shitload of work to get this rear valence modified to fit properly, and that was just the beginning.

Ah yes, the screws. Those were originally put there to hold the apron in place while we welded it, so NOTHING could move on us. Then we were just going to leave them in. Then I decided I was going to take them out, and forgot when I did the self-etching primer on all the bare metal. I was going to pull them and respray the holes with more primer before I undercoated, and forgot again. So now, they're there to stay.

Undercoating is finished. 3 coats applied, quite generously. It's wet in these pics, but even dry, it's still got a satin finsih to it. In about a week or 2 I'm taking it down to have it painted along with my front lip, and I can get all this shit reassembled.

    It's almost done. Enjoy.

The brunt of those "per day" posts made in the morning when I first get to work, and late in the evening. Not to mention, that number is also an average, and I've been posting here since R3V was first spawned. Anything else you'd like to bust my chops on?

Just fuckin' with you, Dan. Lots of stuff going on, I hit a few things on the car when I have the time. Working on several other parts of it at the same time.

    Josh whats the holdup?!?
Working Monday-Friday, sometimes Saturday, 8am to between 5 & 7pm. Having a 14 month old daughter. Figuring out dinner with the wife when she gets home. Giving the kid a bath. Wanting to sit and drink a few beers after crawling wire under a house all day.

You know, shit like that.

i've been thinking about picking that one up again (it's still in kentucky) but it might have a bent front control arm, so i'm trying to steer away from it (lol) if possible, although it does have sentimental value to me...
