So today it was raining on and off so I didn't get much work done. Ya right, little bit of rain never hurt anyone. I had to stop working maybe twice when it started to really come down but besides that it was a decent day.
I dropped the engine/ trans as one piece.. Tons of room to do this on a e34, especially when you have a manual transmission attached since its shorter then the auto. I was a bit worried but figured I'd give it a shot dropping it all as once piece. I bought a Valeo single mass flywheel kit which included a new clutch, throw out bearing, flywheel obviously, ect. Cost about $420 shipped to the door, not bad. Obviously did the rear main seal at the same time.
I also started working on the wiring harness. Got my 1995 M3 (506 label ECU) installed, the X20 body harness connector plugged in, all that good stuff. Even re wrapped the harness a bit with some Tesa tape where the harness tape was loose. Few small hiccup's with the VANOS harness being installed in my Non VANOS car. I took a picture bellow, the bracket that goes next to the ECU to hold the "wiring harness grommets" securely is different. No big deal, I'll get the correct harness bracket at a junkyard next time I go. It's all done though, wiring's complete/ all hooked up now (besides the MAF, TPS, ect. of course). Let's hope she'll be on the road by next weekend?
Lastly I installed new fuel lines.
