So far the fun is just starting.
Have a pile of parts and couple cans of Pringles at home that Blunt keeps shipping out.

The chain tensioner is easy it's the chain guide that is daunting.

I was planning to remove the timing cover in order to bleed it does that need to be done for a new tensioner? Thanks!

Edit: my chain guides are like new when I did my valve adjustment.

No need to remove the cover for the tensioner spring. What are you bleeding?

Am I getting the wrong idea? Is it simply unscrew old and screw in new tensioner?

I forgot about that step. I think you can do that bleed/burp with just the valve cover off. Not 100% positive since I haven't wrenched on an m10 in a while.

Oil changed, i put almost 4.5 quarts a month ago now she's at 3. Oil seems darker, I'll change in a month and see what happens. Exactly 4.5 quarts and stp oil treatment.

Mityvac 7201 Fluid Evacuator Plus https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002SR7TC..._qZ9PCbSBZ1N8A

Stick it through oil dipstick tube. Changed oil 5 mins. Do it when oil is warm, not hot, so it's faster

Going to wrap the fuel hoses and radiator hoses with the heat tape instead, seems more reasonable. Time to disconnect the lines this time properly.

Gold tape was all a lie $30 wasted when I could have done another oil change

Your car doesn't make enough heat to bother radiator hoses, or anything in the car for that matter. It went 35 years with out it
