Bottom Mount M20 Turbo Widebody... scratch that, N54?

So we're having a change of direction with this build as we want to reach a different market.
We've decided to make our own widebody to pay homage to group 5.
Also, we really want to go with the n54 platform.
Updates to come.
To anyone following the bottom mount build it looks like we will have to run a scavenge after all to be on the safe side, the oil is draining, just not fast enough. This test car runs but we're ironing out MS2 problems.

Replicating the first manifold for production version, all stainless, thick stuff.

Hmm, Tim Bell racing 370Z?
Enjoy seeing progress, I would have preferred a X or something as the roof bars. Triangles Rule.Leave a comment:

Also, modified the turbo a little to fit a tight bend.

Taking a brief hiatus from the turbo to add gussets and rebuild the bulkhead. More updates to come soon as we will be building this bottom mount kit on a customer car.

Looks awesome! What's the wastegate and oil drain solution going to be?Leave a comment:

Clearance is a little too close but will be adjusted for production. We will probably be going with both options but probably a good idea for the engine mount to come with the manifold.

Looks cool, not sure if anyone in the US has tried to make a bottom mount for m20. What's the clearance like near the strut tower reinforcement? Looks tight...
You going to be making a kit around this manifold or just selling the manifolds for others to fab up a kit?Leave a comment:
