I thought that dark green you had going there was sooo hot and original! That orange M3 is hot too though! Any progress?

Big projects at body shops always seems to get pushed back because little jobs mean quick and easy money...

That, and its fender bender season, and the insurance companies pressure them big time to turn those around or the shops get stuck eating days on a rental car bill for people.

Try painting a car and you'll truly be happy if it's done in four.

Having a body shop at your disposal is pretty nice.... Also, not working with a body shop who works on insurance/run of the mill makes life muuuuch easier.

Hope things go smoothly for you Mike. We'll have to compare come spring... ;)

                Well, UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we have begun the process once again!!!!
I towed the car back to the body shop Fri. night, and started sanding on Sat.
Well, "my" painter has quit at the shop, so I found another guy, a youngin(19yrs old) who is going to get this thing done with me. I have seen plent of work he has done, and he is extremely good at smoothing panels.

the engine comp. is done, and will be getting painted tomorrow night- probably. well, here are the pics. I am so happy this is back under way, just hate the fact that I am going to be working krazy hours the next few weeks!

check out the pimp ass 750iL keeping my baby company. It was reimported from some arabian speaking country, and has EVERY option you could possibly imagine in it. All the BMW stickers are in Arabic, and it has U.S. specs also..

                  Yes

                  Let the games begin!

Shouldn't you pull the front fenders off?

You're all prepped for an S52 swap! LOL!

I am not pulling the front fenders, cause the car was NEVER in an accident. the sealing on the top of the fenders is still original, and I want to keep it like that!
I was thinking about dropping a fiat 1.1 liter (65hp)powerplant in it, just to piss off the S14 purists!!!hahahah

I hear you. I just thought with a color change it may be to some advantage. I just painted my car myself about 3 months ago. Had to pull the fenders for a repair. painted it with them on. It pissed me off to have to break that seal. I got to paint my car at a custom chopper shop...it was awesome.

Good eye! Mike I think you owe it to all of us to get some pics of her working on your car. Get her to join r3v, I will personally degrade any of the other members that act like they dont know how to act around women....maybe there not acting...

so, here are the newest updates. Been a bit busy. here you can see the new color. So it seems this is the color I am going to go with. These pics were from yesterday. In the normal sun, it looks a whole lot more of a copper color.

and here is what it looks like as of a few hours ago. It seems to be coming along VERY fast.

As far as the little girl goes, she is 1- underage, 2- my painters underaged girlfriend, 3- I am old enough to be her father (almost), and 4- she is so skinny, there is nothing to look at anyway.

                              here it is:
