    Hell of a Birthday

All i wanted for my birthday was to start my m50 swap. Well it finally happend today. My Wife, Father-in-law, and I pulled out a perfectly running m20 with less than 90k, and got rid of the automatic transmission. anyone interested in the m20 let me know, my dad is pretty pissed about it in his garage.

The car will be in the garage for a bit as its getting the m50 swap, 5 speed swap, Painting the engine bay, e36 Steering rack and last but not least painting the whole car. Ive picked out 381 LeMans Blue, my favorite BMW Color. i wasnt going to paint the car yet but my dad wanted me to and is buying the paint, so i cant complain!

    Thread of my m50:

    Happy birthday!!!!

Nice job on finally getting the project underway. Now prepare to spend waaaaay more money than you expected. :) Are you guys going to paint the car yourselves? You definitely need to make this into a progress thread and update it as you go. Oh, and when you're done with your dad, I'll take him. He could come in handy around here. I need a paint job.

Nice! Happy b-day man. I love working on my cars and compleating projects that I have been working on for a long time. Not a bad way to spend a birthday if your a gear-head!
I'm sure you will be stoked to get rid of that auto, I know I was!

looks like fun. Wish I had access to a lift and a father who would pay to repaint my whole car...

BTW looks like you have a bunch of nice karting stuff in the background. Which handles better-the kart or the e30? ;)

Man, it looks like the Exxon Valdez let go in your engine bay! Well, once you remove it, it's pretty much drag and drop in the M50. :)
