I personally hate us diving boards on any e30. Euro metal is my favorite but late models can't use them. Mtech2 would be my ideal choice but I don't wana spend that kinda cash right now

Found out how hard it is to try and find a broken icv wire, long story short. Couldn't find the wire so after tearing my hair out all afternoon I decided to say f*** it and I bypassed the whole system.

After twelve years and countless memories, today I cut it into pieces and sent her to the great Autobahn in the sky.

Long may you run, old friend.*sadface*

Started to pull my project cars engine down, found the exhaust cam & tray on the intake side ruined cam & tray, same as the intake which was of course on the exhaust side?? Pulled the head & a fair bit of slap in all the pistons :/

Now to find a replacement m42 which is like finding hens teeth in Australia :/ glad I budgeted on the engine being as good as scrap.

Got under the car to find the tie rods missing bolts all in all I think my project is a strip it down & start from ground up. Still scratching my head on amount of mistakes the previous owners made

Plasti-dip the grill. I am pleased with how it came out

First, I banished wheel hop / replaced a blown billy.

Then I took it ice racing.

Deleted power steering. Not including the fluid, it came to 4.5KG on the scales.

Weight reduction was minimal but the engine feels like it revs up a lot quicker. Not like it's heaps more powerful but it's a lot more responsive.

The steering wheel(Momo Prototipo 350mm) feels quite a bit heavier now but I'll be getting new strut top mounts and an E36 rack before I make any final judgements on that

Will be replacing a slave cylinder in 5 degree weather. Thank goodness for heated garages.
