really nice work. you are lucky to have a father who takes an interest in sweet projects. tell me a little about that. its clear you arent an amateur thats letting his dad build him a car. i assume he is a skilled mechanic and fabricator and he has taught you a lot growing up. am i right? my dad was a car guy but not in the fabricating and modding sense. he loved hanging out in the garage with me working on shit though. keep it up. the workmanship is awesome. no zip ties on that fucker

I know this is like 3 or so pages back, but... S/C'd it will run great. I owned a D1SC procharged Camaro SS, which ran very very nice. It made 490rwhp on 6.5 psi and a mustang dyno. So dynojet would have been 500 HP+. I could only imagine how that would feel in an E30. It felt pretty damn strong in a full interior camaro (3600lbs).
Best of luck with the long term goals, if you SC it, it would only add to an amazing car that you have!

If we do that though we're going to think about re-doing the rear end and possibly adding a roll cage/substantial chassis stiffening. At the very least the 5 bolt conversion. Eventually hopefully it will be supercharged.... that's the long term goal

What was fabricated and what parts came from BMW for the remote brake booster? Also, what is your plan for the rear end?
Here is the first page I think
Also, here are a few quick pics I just took of how it sits now.
I still have to finish welding up my exhaust, from about the front end of the gas tank back, and do all the wiring but that's about it. Also, we have to get a different radiator or get ours modified because of some interference issues. Oh and I just spent about 40 min pumping tranny fluid in and my shoulder is killing me...lol. Major PITA.
Regarding the rear end - right now it's going to stay stock (3.73 or 4.10 lsd I forget which) till I get some more money. Next summer when I upgrade the engine a little then I'll need to address it. What are the high (like 400+) hp guys running? Is there a good BMW option out there? M5 maybe? If not then it means a lot more custom work to make a Ford Cobra rear end or something similar work.
[QUOTE BTW - is the "vats disabler" the thing to bypass the resistors in the key thing?QUOTE]
If I understand you correctly...yes. We could have just gotten the GM VATS removed when we have the PCM re-flashed but we thought it would be kinda cool to keep.

This'll be similar to what i'll do if i bust the diff mount eventually. Cage and rear bars tie down to a custom diff mount (same style as orig. one just made out of plate steel) That pic is from a guy here in Aus who's done a 2jz swap (hope you dont mind i stoled your pics ben! :D)
You guys would have no problem adapting a different diff if need be, your skills are there :)
Lsx/t56 Swap progress |----------| .0000000005% - Well below poverty line.
Getting purists panties in a knot since 2007. ;)
E30 count = 6!
