i couldnt get the stock reservoir in there even with the booster mounted directly to the firewall. i would have if i could have, but instead had to go remote.Leave a comment:

about mounting the IX/735(/believe m50 5'er too) booster to the firewall w/o the spacer bracket (see previous page on this thread) I just wonder if you can mount its stock resevoir w.o remote lines. i'd really like that...and so will the tech crew...i have no rubbing problems though.
It also helps with the throttle cable, i'm afraid i'll have to adjust it often 'cause it rubs on my booster (m50 mani, s52 tb, e36 cable)Leave a comment:

Which mount idea were you refering to?
On my remote res, I ordered hose from the 2002 reservoir, just to be sure it's compatible with brake fluid.
What are you guys doing about ix booster clearance?
My intake is shaved and it still rubs.Leave a comment:

i'm refering to the brake fluid eating the fuel line and having crap form in your lines/abs unit etc. i'm no quemist just asked to be careful.
btw i installed a failed booster so i hope you don't mind me copying your idea for my next mount ;)Leave a comment:

lil update, putting all the details together. pretty much only issue im having problems with is the IX booster push rod is too long, and i need to figure out a way to shorten it ON the car...
dont mind the crappy looking paint, i had to shoot some primer on some bare metel spots i was grinding on.
