    My winter projects

'91 318ic with an M20/Getrag 260 conversion: It's straight, but has a weak blue cloth interior. I've gotten the engine & trans in, but I need some intake & exhaust parts to finish it. Plans include wheels, GC suspension, and some old school stereo stuff.

Next is a '71 Honda Z50 Mini Trail. It'll be blue & white with a black seat. I may use BMW trunk roundels instead of the factory Honda tank badges.

Very cool. I like the old Mini Trails. The one in my avatar was also a '71 that I restored in '03 and sold in '05.

I'm kind of addicted. I have 6 of them now.

The first '71 before & after:

Honda sold a million of the little Z50's. I was a little kid when they were new, but I never had one. I was forced to ride a Charlie Brown minibike with a lawnmower engine instead.

I bought the first blue one just for the hell of it. I wound up spending 3 months and $1200 restoring it. I sold it for $2K.

          Cheaper than therapy.

I did, does that make me old? :)

Those early ones with no rear suspension seem to be impossible to find.
            Current:

            BMW 325i Cabriolet 2.5 m50 -88

                IT'S ALIVE!

It actually runs & idles. All I need now is an exhaust, a PS pump that fits, and some fan belts.

I could use some heater hose advice. The previous owner bypassed the throttle housing hoses, and I have no idea how to route them.
