    84 318i - restomod

    Hi,

Here is my project 318i - started in mid September.
The car will be 84 body with modified ix side skirts and flares and plastic bumpers (with post 88 front valance with fogs with infinity lip and rear will have modified Hartge valance). To top it off it will have Mtec 2 spoiler. Inside will be like rally car with braces (not the full cage). Suspension will be Ireland bushings and steering will be e36 rack. Rims will be Koenig Rewinds.
I have 95% of all parts and I hope to be done by September of 2008. Car will be painted white with M stripes like DTM M3.

either puting back 1.8 m10 but going turbo or putting stock 2.7l m20.
i am not power hungry and going after retro 80s rally car look.

Any pics of what you want it to look like? are you going for the full deacl set and everything, or what? any suspension? The turbo m10 would be a lot of fun.

make sure you keep the auto trans though. j/k
                      looks like a big project.
arent you afraid of damaging the side of the car rolling it on its side like that?

                        auto is going :-)

the car is not meant to be a power monster but more of a summer driver.

the car is very light and it is resting on wooden blocks supporting the strongest points of the car.

fenders flares and skirts will need minimal work - I test fitted them before and only rear will need some trimming - not much.
