so todays update is that i got my cylinder head back. i also have some camshaft news that will be after the pics of the head.
since i feel a full PnP job is a waste on pump gas, i have taken it upon myself to do some house cleaning. it's not done quite yet, but here is the start of it...
untouched
stage 1
stage 2
stage 3
stage 4
i need to do another round of polishing with a finer brush wheel.
as for the cams, a buddy of mine sent me to a guy who runs Dougherty Racing Camshafts in Shingle Springs, Ca. He is going to regrind my stock cams to what ever operable spec I want for $300. This means I can clone Schrick, Metric Mech, etc for way less. All they are doing if regrinding stock cams as well. Best part is I don't have to worry about seating new cams. This will mate up with the cam trays that I have now, since they came out of them.

Nice! Not sure if your still going with the MM motor, you can have the same build for WAY less money. Hit up Terry Tinney Performance Motors (Livermore CA) for the build, he specializes in that area of engine building. Dinan's winning 2002 race car used his m10 builds.
