    In 4x4 mode on e30 m3 springs

So I removed the ground control coilovers, camber plates and installed oem strut mounts (confirmed on realoem.com, 318 and 325 cars use the same exact strut mounts, spring hats etc). I bought a set of e30m3 springs on ebay and figured this would be a good DD setup... well, I didn't expect it to be this high off the ground.

Does this look right to you guys, or did I get shafted on the springs?

Car is dirty I know, I haven't washed it since last weekends autocross ....

Looks like a nice 4x4 daily mode but yes you may have been hosed on the M3 springs .

I know they are supposed to be slightly lower than stock in the front and the rear may be slightly higher ...but your car is way up there .
May be due to the fact that its a lowly 318 :p , or did you remove the AC and all that stuff previously ?

It rides nice and all, still suprisingly not floaty or anything like that. I just sent a message to the seller on ebay to explain why he painted the springs flat black and what exact year e30m3 they came off of..... guys seemed legit with bmwcca membership and all....

Yep, all of a/c stuff is gone (that's the next big project for this month), but I figured s14 is probably the closest thing to m10 weight wise and m3 sits lowest compared to other stock e30s... I was just not expecting it to be this high, I need to find pictures of other e30 on e30m3 springs.

pretty sure you dident get M3 springs. i have M3 springs on mine and it has a similer ride height to my friends 318is on eibach pros. his is a little lower in the rear though but the front is pretty much the same.

To give the seller a benefit of the doubt, I erased his ebay name until I get a confirmation...

                They probably are M3 springs...

This is my car with them... I also have an m20, all the sound deadening, all the power options, cruise, turbo, IC, etc etc. Its ALOT heavier than your 318.

Jean, you were supposed to remove the old springs, not just add more.
