I have been suffering from the late model arch car on IE3 springs syndrome for a few months now. The drop hats that bekkers is always out of seemed like a decent enough temporary fix, not ideal by any means.
I dont like waiting for a company who might get them in stock in a month or so......
I pulled some stock perches from a car at the wrecking yard and set out to make my own. I went as far as I felt was reasonable and left clearance at the top for the strut bearing. I measured that they would drop the car almost 5/8".
Sorry no during pics, I just welded a 1/4" thick 4" round steel disc to the bottom at the same angle as the "cup" that sits on the strut shaft, then cut out the existing center. I was careful to match the center hole location since it is not centered like you would expect.

That was just after a quick drive around the block to settle them in last night. After driving around today they are another 1/8" lower.
The car and my driveway are filthy but the stance is improved.
