My Project (new engine, paint, and more)

I got the car like this

Then put some winter tires on it

Winter ended and i started to mod

Then i traded the rims for a parts car and within a week it looked like this:

Test fitted the new rims I bought with the money i made - 16x8 ET 15 501's

    New tires

    On the car

Then i decided to put the motor from the parts car in mine, mine was leaking oil and had 463,000kms on it, still ran great and pulled hard all day everyday, but my parents didn't like all the oil all over the road in front of the house

the parts - all new gaskets and seals, new head bolts, timing belt, water pump

and the tear down and cleaning began

then it all went back together after thouroughly being cleaned etc.

and me and with a little help from my dad got the old one out and the new one in, in 2 long days

    and then the new one

Then did a few small things repainted all of the trim/grills/mouldings black, including shadowlining the window trim and kidney's

the drop is a little PS'ed :D soon it will be that low haha, and now the car is finally getting ready for paint

only pics so far - key holes and antenna hole shaved and bumpers and trim off for prep

Still need to do alot of work before its ready for paint, but the set date is july 4-7th weekend for actual painting. Will update as i go

Coming along nicely! Try to get better pics, you'll wish you did later. I'm thinking you're using a camera phone.

your thinking right... haha, I know my pictures are horrible, but everytime i consider buying a camera I think of all the goodies i could buy for the car instead

My opinion crap camera to take pictures of sweet car> sweet camera to take pictures of crappy car

            maybe one day

I really like the way those Sportmaxes look on your ride, for I have considered them in the want or not want list.

What will u be using for an antena? and door entry? solinoids?

That rolling picture does much justice to your project, keep up the good work.

an eta has great potential if you have cash and time...

Aside from that, nice ride so far. your wheels make the front look weird... like their almost not big enough. maybe its just the lighting

lol to everyone saying the fitment is epic, i wish the rolling shot is PS'd lower then it actually is. I will post up the original in a second, but yes the front end needs to go down tons, GC coil overs are in the future of the car i think. But paint needs to be done first.

Alright, sooner then i thought, after a long day of sandblasting i can come through with some pictures of the paint + supplies i picked up the other day.

First of all the rolling shots unedited

                      and the paint :D

Long day tomorrow of prepping the car, hopefully things go smoothly and I might be able to snap a few

So, big day today for the e30, well last night too, also last saturday/sunday was good lol, didnt update because of lack of pics.

well i sandblasted any and all rust i could find, swapped on the good fenders, fully smoothed the one door, and finished sanding my bumpers, still working on it, hopefully have most of the dents/dings fixed today so its ready for paint next weekend.

                              and the work station lol

Will hopefully take more pics and update again today, i'll have to see how much sanding i can take today lol

                              DISCLAIMER:

Fitment of doors/fenders/hood/bumpers is not final because no point in getting them super lined up when they will likely come off again soon, and the bumpers are just sitting there, not screwed on or anything.
