    journey to the coil:o

    zip tie 1

    zip tie 2

    zip tie 3

    zip tie 4

    zip tie 5..and the ground

    inline fuse to the coil.

yes its messy but i'll clean it up later. the car runs great, i'm probably just imagining but when i give it gas it seems a little more responsive, but i'm not sure if its thats the fan that did that or the fact that i haven't driven the car in a week or 2.

so i need ur help with wiring the fan. also its a manual one or automatic???

btw i am typing from my garage now lol.
the only tools i used were vice grips, chanel locks and a breaker bar to hold the pulley still while removing the fan, i'll take pics when its not so hot outside. your going to need to get longer wires to make it reach where i installed mine the wires are 12 guage wires that you can get an walmart, you need black and red. attach black to shock tower and red to other ignition controlled power source(coil). as soon as i turn the key the fan starts i dont know if thats good but oh well, now when i shut the car off i can cool it. you can buy switches from summit or even pepboys. but its easer just to have it come on when the cars on. also zip ties come in handy to hold the wire here and there. its a close fit between wires and pulley belts but thats probably because i mounted mine upside down, because that way the BMW logo i put on it faces the right way. try to put the wires on the top so its easier to install.

wired the fan today, one wire to the shock tower ground and the other wire to the ballast resistor on the coil. now theres plenty of room to remove the distributor cap. i had the car on while adding coolant, and the temp got up over half but then after i finished topping off the coolant and drive down the street it went back down to the first mark which is where i like it. the fan is very queit and small its a 2,500 cfm fan so things should stay cool. i can run the fan with the car off but whats the point of that.

forgive me if I thought your primered red/black parts car isn't really a parts car. I'm just looking for my next big mod! I hope my list is as big as yours someday.
very bluntesque. It seems like he is always looking for the next big mod too.
