im using a black ppg silicone sealant. the one from autozone. it was like 10 bucks i believe. one bead on the outside(press flat with finger). then 24hrs later another bead pressed flat on top of the first to super seal it. ive helped my roomate with two sets of wheels using this process and no leaks yet!

Yo man... i just want to tell you again that those 1.5" lips look great. I contacted BFI since they seem not to have them in stock, and they said 2-4 weeks... Kind of annoying. Get more pics up soon!

Hey thanks for the link man. Quick question... the $68 for shipping... was that the shipping you paid total for all the lips or was the per lip. I'm getting the impression from the ebay add that its 68 per... and there is no way i'm spending close to 200 per lip. These would be a good price if i could get all 4 shipped for 68 bucks.

            Thanks again,

how fast did those lips arrive? i can tell you my roomate has some of the german lips and the finish is a little bit nicer than the BFI lips. the BFI lips are still nice, but the german ones are hella nice. i was just hesitant on how long it would take for them to arrive. testomonials pls. my wheels are done, waiting to get the tires mounted and the rest of my suspension in before i do a photoshoot. :)

Man, I am looking for a BBS project, and I cannot find a "good" set that I am willing to buy. I found some online for 700 bucks +120 each shipped. The need to be redone. If they were 16's I would have maybe been more up to it.

The set you're working on are going to be very nice. I was drooling on Vlad's too. Come to think about it, there is not much Vlad has I would not drool on.

call memoryfab in california. they sometimes have sets that arent listed. see what he will work out with you. i got my set for a great priced shipped considering their rarity and condition. the barrels were true, no scratches on the face and the lips had minor rash(but i knew i was going to replace them). after that, take your time. i spoke with my local powdercoater and decided on having him totally strip the original finish off of every surface and re-powdercoat the entire wheel (for a great price) obtw cash talks. it also helped that the wheels were entirely disassembled. its taken me almost 4 months to save and purchase all the parts for the wheels. this way when i curb the shit out of one my tears will be real...

Not going to paint the centers?

Anyway, nice work, I love multi-piece wheels!

Thats not bad at all... for 4 lips thats 606 shipped, which by the way would be about 60 bucks or so cheaper then BFI. I'm very tempted to do this now.

Along with lowlightbw i would also like to know if anyone knows how long it would take for these lips to arrive. Anyone have experience with this ebay seller?

                          Dave

Edit: Ok nevermind... it says right there in the listing that its sent with UPS 3 Day Select. Haha... near the same place where it says $10 for each additional item. Looks like i cant read very well. :)

cool progress... by the way if you want to color match that lip a color named seattle silver matches pretty well and is available at advance auto.. I painted the valence and the lip at the same time to make a perfect match.
