Tonight i got the rear bumper mounted with only a few small adjustments to be made now. I need to find some better hardware to hold the ends of the bumper on and fab up a brace that holds the lower part of the valence in place so i doesent flap around like a cheap bodykit at speeds.

My dad is not very enthusiastic about the swap. He prefers his E30s bone stock.

Yes jeff i am going to need to find some skirts sometime but they wont be in teh werkz for a while.

My euro trim set with the rear centerpiece should arrive tuesday.

The front will be addressed tomorrow if all goes well.

Early this morning i did some final modifications in order to get the rear bumper on.

I had to notch out the bottom of the bumper core to clear the mounting hardware for the valence.

I filled in the holes for the diving board shroud with grommets and plastic plugs.

The two on the sides were too big for the plastic plugs so i ended up putting grommets in there and filling the holes with silicone goop.

Reppin came by to help me hang the rear bumper to see if i need to do any more modifications before i mounted it.
The holes that the ends of the bumper are supposed to bolt to dont really line up so i might have to fab up some kind of bracket, and i might have to space out the bumper shocks for the bumper skin to attach correctly. BTdub thanks to watson and joe for the rear bumper shock:up:

I think i got reppins approval.

The rear one thats part of the body? I sort of washed it but i dident want to get any water in the holes or the vent things. I guess i might go at it again as i have sealed it up now

Tonight i liberated my E30 of its diving boards (for the weight savings of course)

Honestly this is the most i have taken the body apart. Hopefully i can track down a rear bumper shock tomorrow so i dont have to ride ghetto for too long.

    Diving board be gone!

You ought to make the investment in that rear valence as well to complete your swap.
