Holy crap. That thing doesn't exactly look torsionally rigid. Imagine the first time he takes a corner at speed and that thing twists up. At least the oil pan will be there to stop it.

Amazing to me that the engineers who modified these cars for years never thought of doing some Wal-Mart reconfiguring to a stressed member of the suspension instead of just installing an electric fan. Frickin' lazy Alpina employees...

$20 says he took that to a shop that notches frames for trucks running airbags. I might need to go to bfest just so I can meet this guy and report back to those who can't make it.
