Are you sure it's an S52? Why does it have the non-M engine cover?

I think I'm going to go with an electric setup wired to the switch in the radiator.

I ran the VIN through the NICB and it came back to an auto '97 M3 sedan, so its the right motor (you can also tell if its an S motor is S is the third "digit" in the VIN).

Now I'm just looking for someone to run the VIN so I can confirm the mileage.

where are you going to mount it? im running a/c on mine as well and i can't fit my the thinnest spal fan b/c the a/c bracket is in the way.

im getting rid of the old aux fan and replacing it with a beefier one.

anyway goodluck with the build man.

Why not? Can't see the VIN and the filter housing is easily swapped. Just making sure the OP got the right thing. Carry on.

But now someone's running around with an M5X telling everyone it's an S52 because he got the valve cover.

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?

Fedex brought some more parts yesterday. 328 steering rack, red label 413 DME, E34 pan/pickup, but no dipstick.

                        Getting closer all the time.
