Back in September I moved into my new house and realized that I now have a lot of garage and drive way space and with the 87 325is build out the car has now become a "collector's piece" - plus - the X5 was a hog on gas when it was $4.00 a gallon. So, my search for a DD started and in I started with aspiring hopes of locating e28 is but keeping in mind the cost of gas and repairs what better yet than a 318. So I hit up MIKe30 from a post and I took the ride with Levent in my 87 to pick up my new girl Vikki.
With 240K on the clock she ran just perfect and needed more aesthetic work along with the regular maintenance. I instantly felt in love with the M42 and I have been driving it ever since - just - recently it needed a water pump, heater blower motor and new hoses. It currently has 249K and I think that the head needs to be reworked. Thank Gawd my girlfriend understands my obsession and doesn't care that I have to use my money from the houses laundry project for the motor work if it does actually needs it.
