    230K makes a car DIRTY

Close to putting the front end back together. I still need nuts for my shocks, sway bar end links and bushings plus bit more cleaning.
Found something interesting under all that dirt.

A crack in the upper hat. Never seen that before, stole one off my parts car so no big deal.

The new wheels and tires will make a big difference.
225/50/15s will fill that gap nicely.

you are doing well on this beauty. I test drove this car and thought it was pretty nice. You are taking it over the top.

              Here are some similar lifts.
              http://www.shopwiki.com/search/6,000...ft+(B000BHNTFK)
I got mine out of a random catalog someone at work gave me.
Me and some freinds bought 3 of them and drove to Delaware to pick them up.
Got them for $1k a peice since we got 3.
I also have seen one at work which gets used everyday and has held up perfect for 2 years.

              No Rust on the Sunroof

              I need a cover

Im pretty amazed at the condition this cars in. I waxed it tonight, it looks so good.
Zymol cleaner wax then 2 coats of Zaino Z3. The pevious owner did a pretty good job claying and polishing the car so I didnt need to do much.

                Ahh so much better.
I put in the new front sway bar bushings and links this morning
Finally I could pull the car out in the sun and take it for a spin.
I cant wait for my lip and fog blank to get here.

I don't think I've seen such a nice example of brilliant rot. The car says pull me over all over it, but it looks sooooo goooood.

Have you replaced the chain tensioner yet? If that doesn't happen to fix your noise try alittle ATF in the crank case before your next oil change. that tends to quiet down the lifters quite a bit.

                        Keep up the good work

motor runs great, nice and quiet
there are 3 318is's in my family
This one has the most miles but is the fastest

I put a 95 M3 rack in there too, with new Lemforder control arms, inner and outer tie rod ends with Offset CABs
                          Really drives nice super responsive

I made a new catback for it too, Stainless M-Benz exhaust bends
and pipe to a dynomax super turbo, 2.0t B6 a4 tip, total cost me $36( not including TIG consumables :) )

                              Just changed the suspension again
I cut another half a coil off and put in the e90 hats

                              Looks pretty good
it has a bit of rake which I like

My poor little car had a rough few months,
first a little kid runs into the door on his bicycle then a month later my cousin backed into the fender,
Since the car had all original paint and panels with about 248K on it at that point I was just so bummed, I loved that the car had no paint work and still looked as good as it did
So in my disgust I sold it to another cousin
It had been a great reliable car
I drove it on 4, 1000 mile plus road trips, cruising at 90mph that m42 was still getting 27mpg and used no fluids, I drove this car more than any other e30 ive had and was really attached

Hopefull ill get it back one day, the pic is how it looked when I handed over the keys
