Apparently so. I woke up early to go pick up the car and the shop said that they weren't finished with the car they are working on. So right now I'm pushed back to Tuesday now.

            *sigh*

            We'll see what's up.

Alright Ter-Tech, the shop that was originally helping me out has been giving me the runaround. Apparently they seem too busy so I spoke to a buddy and we're moving things to his shop.

Tonight we just moved the car there, but tomorrow we'll start the wrenching. Probably not too much as I gotta take both halves of the driveshaft (e28 front and e30 rear) to join together and balance it.

Because deadlines are so cool, I registered the 335i for the D1GP Miami on May 30th. The qualifying is on the 29th (Friday), so today is officially D1-DAY MINUS 9

Since we were so close next time, I'm hoping that two days of serious wrenching will get this car on the road.

With any luck this car will be running in time :)

                Quick shot:

                              D1-DAY MINUS 8

Alright sweet, so we started off on the wrong foot. When the car went into storage, I made a list of everything I needed and I had bought it all from someone on r3v who picked the parts up off the junkyard.

The box was here when I came back from Brazil. Since the packing inside was a mess, I never really looked too far into the box and trusted it was all there.

Now I look and sweet! List of items I bought:

Downpipes: Sent e34 downpipes (2 bolt flange) while this is an M30B34, so 3 bolt flange. No use. Might end up cutting and welding to the 3 bolt flanges I have.

                              Crank PS Bracket: Never came.

                              CPS: Never came.

                              Brake fluid reservoir: Never came.

Injectors: Asked for 6 with fuel rail. Found only 5. Fuel rail is from an e34, which the hard lines get in the way of everything, but not a big deal to work around it.

                              Injector harness: Not there either.

Sooooo I'm going to have to make a trip to the junkyard and start hunting for M30s. Great jolly fun.

Right now I'm waiting on the new u-joints for my driveshaft to come in. Plan is to take the driveshaft to the driveshaft shop to get it balanced. Then off to the junkyard I go.

                              What's life without small challenges?

                              - Erick
PS: But in good news.... I just got a sick deal on some new goodies for this car. If we can hook it up on time for the event, this should be fun :D:D:D Moar details soon.
