Total Car Shipping and Auto Transport INC

Ok so I hate making these however I have no choice. I had sold my swapped M30 E30 to a guy in Texas. I needed a company to transport the car at a reasonable price. Through hunting around I found Total Car Shipping LLC. Yes I know that they send the buisness out to other comapines to actually do the shipping, they are the middle man, however last night when they were attempting to put my car on the back of the 80' car carrier, the driver decided about halfway up the ramps to slip the car off between the ramps at a pretty good speed and crash my car into the back of his truck. Mind you the car has already been sold, technically yes the car is mine but I hate being the seller that would just give up on the guy you sold the car to. It shoved the lower Valence into the radiator and pushed it so bad into the tires that when moving the car to take photographs of the incident there was severe rubbing. I was so far beyond pissed and then the driver says "Its ok , Its ok we can hook up chain to truck and pull it out!" Hell no, you just crashed my car into the back of your truck! Meanwhile he is pleading to me not to call the company(as if that was not going to happen) because he would get fired. Finally after pictures were taken and everything documented I ended up having to put the car on the truck because this man is so inept. I am so far beyond pissed right now, but if any of you use a middle man to find a company to ship your car, beware of Total Car Shipping and Auto Transport INC.

ohhhhhh- don't get me started on how F**Ked I got last year shipping my 55 chevy to germany here.-- kinda the same happened-- it was a trailer designed for farm equipment and crap(also through a middle man) half way up the headers got stuck on a crossbeam, he gave gas, - pulled the motor-- ripped the motormount- sent the fan into the radiator-- made a mess--(destroyed-- fan, waterpump, radiator, exhaust) all while i was watching-- I almost had a heartattack!!!-- so i call the "boss" he says they will send another trailer for "lowered cars" (my car is actually 4x4)stock height) the next day. so I repair all the things (luckily my father has a few 1955-57 Chevys) that I raped the parts from.

next day it goes on trailer-- a month later it arrives in Holland-- with around $6000 worth of parts stolen off and from inside it........
in the end i got screwed and recieved nothing-- because it went through so many companies hands-- and I also recieved a free HUGE dent on the front right side allong with a ton of scratches!!

end is -- great transaction would do again!!! NOT!

it really pays to use the big auto shippers. i used intercity lines to ship my M5 from Mass to California. It cost $1800 but was well worth it. The journey only took 7 days and I talked to the driver the entire way. They have enclosed trailers with lifts at the back so the car doesn't have to go up any inclines in the loading process. Yes it cost more, but why spend all the money on a car and then cheap out on shipping?

i'm so sorry to read all this horror stories. i'm glad neither one of you beat the shit out of the driver.

that note, can anyone recommend a good company you have worked with?

would not be a bad idea to have a reputable companies list as well as a shit list.
