im actually like 70%, but both my parents speak straight english and only speak tagalog when they talk to eachother.

I'm a halfer, but when folks first meet me they think I'm Hawaiian or Samoan.
Tagalog is the main language, then there's dialects off that. My Mom and my Aunt and Uncle and Grandmom spoke Visayan the main dialect from the Manila area. In the Northern part of Luzon they speak Illacono,not sure on spelling. My Grandfather was from another island and spoke another dialect.
I myself don't speak it. I can sometime catch a word here or there. But it seems to me that when two or three Philippino's get together, they hold three conversations at once and I get left way behind.
