The Speed3 is the only one that is worth buying. It's quick as hell, handles almost as well as the new Cobalt SS, which is amazing! The brand new ones look awesome IMO, and if they make them AWD I will buy one.

With some simple turbo mods and slicks they are low 12 second cars!

They eat sway bars for breakfast, and poop out front wheel bearings after wards.

How could you be happier with an E28....?

i had an 08 speed3 for about a year. had some simple bolt ons (intake, rear motor mount, bov) which made the car alot faster than it was stock. it handled amazing well, and i never had ANY problems with it while i owned it. i loved it, just wanted to sell it cause i was feeling the crunch. :/

My fiance has one and it has been a great daily for her, it's an 07 sport package with the 2.3, it is great considering it was under 20k after rebates! We have put 40k on it in the last year and a half and it has only been to the dealer once that wasn't routine maintenance. She is already looking at a mazda 3 wagon for her new car next spring.

I rented one for a week and a half last December in Florida. It was the slowest car that I have ever driven. (edit: I forgot about the chevy crapalier that I took my driving lessons in.) It was an automatic since it was a rental, so it might not be so bad in a manual. The build quality seemed pretty good for the price of the car. I'm biased though as I just can't get very enthusiastic about FWD.

I bought an 07 new and for the past couple years couldn't be happier. I test drove a handful of cars and for a FWD econobox I don't think you'll find anything better.

Sounds like they need driving lessons
