Well less than peanuts actually because I don't have any left.

Child custody lawer in California and knows a little about sociopathic drug addicted ex-wifes?

I know, silly place to ask but I thought I might get lucky.

No sympathy please, my own fucking fault for not letting her choke to death in her own vomit back in '93.

Seriously though, I wish I did. My uncle had the exact same thing happen to him. His ex-wife left the state with the kids despite the fact that she was a documented schizophrenic and during the custody case they sided with her. Apparently back in the 70s-80s in this area they always sided with the mother in custody cases. It's really sad. Keep up the fight man, I hope everything works out. And I'll get sympathetic if I want to damnit!:hitler:

I was the kid in that exact situation -- took my dad a couple years to manage to get full custody of me, but he eventually won.

          Best of luck.

Peanuts, probably not, but I could get the lawyer my stepfather used to get his kids from his drug addicted crazy x-wife. This was some years ago though...

I could also hook you up with one of my professors, but I don't know if she practices anymore.

Very long story, however in a nutshell:

I have had full custody since late 1993 (2 kids now 11 and 9) and custody of her daughter since then as well (now 20 and safely out of peril).

Tomorrow I will be in court answering her exparte filing alleging that I and my wife are abusing the kids.

She is a pill popping psycho but has always been able to look okay for small periods of time and garner sympathy and she has a history of prevailing in court (for short periods of time).

I wouldn't freak but she nearly killed the kids the last time she had any custody (she had them for 2 days via court order then the police called me to come and get them at 3 am because she was loaded and insane... 3 hours after I picked them up she wrecked a car and wound up in the hospital).

              So there you go.

edit: Considering that it's all going down tomorrow a 3pm this thread is now pretty much an exercise in futility but I got it out so that's something.

Sorry I missed your post until now, though I doubt anything could be put together between then and 3pm manana even if I had caught it.

                  Thank you at any rate

Wish me luck, if things go well I might make it to Bimmerfest and I'll tell you all about it.

I wish I had your optimism, but my experience after all of this makes me leery at best (and downright terrified for the most part).

Courts don't work too well in my opinion.

Good luck man, not just for you, but for your kids. I saw my brothers and sisters deal with a mom like you described, not cool.

1993 was sixteen years ago. How could you have been granted custody of an eleven and nine year old sixteen years ago?
