Or more importantly, read the story from the OP, because that is the greatest danger of beliefs. As long as there are evil men, religion will always be nothing more than the most trivial avenue of manipulation for them to benefit from.

Religion is like Anakin fucking Skywalker. It was supposed to bring peace and balance to humanity but instead it brings fear, hate and suffering. If we outlawed religion, most of the biggest problems of mankind would be gone naturally.
I see what you mean. The communist governments of USSR, China, N. Korea, and Vietnam outlawed religion & look what a nice place to live those countries were.

Parts of China are very nice, the rest is a hole - just like the USA, but tolerant, thanks to the absence of religious idiots. USSR never outlawed shit and the others have persecution of any kind of expression of free thought that does not jive with the regime, not just religion. Try other places that keep their beliefs private, like France, England, Germany and Japan. If Denmark outlawed religion they wouldn't be having the problems with Muslims they are now (seen it first hand, the before and after). Instead of kludging together gimpy arguments, think about how many lives would have been spared, how much less hate there would be in the world TODAY (let alone throughout history) if religion did not exist. This thread would not exist, and the OP would be happily married.

Back in the days (a few millenums ago), when science didn't exist, religions were the only ways to find answers about plagues, thunderstorms, life, death, etc... So no wonder religions filled the void and took advantage of it.

Now that science can explains everything, I wonder why people keep on believing about gods in the skies... Unless some people still have some blanks within their own life.

The meaning of this thread has left the building.
I'm Not Right in the Head | Random Rants and other Nonsense1st Order Logic Failure: Association fallacy, this type of fallacy can be expressed as (∃xS : φ(x)) → (∀xS : φ(x)), meaning "if there exists any x in the set S so that a property φ is true for x, then for all x in S the property φ must be true".

I sure as shit can't say with 100% and be truthful that anything in the bible is true. And you can't say, nor can anyone say that evolution is infact TRUTH because they have NOT found any proof - thus the reason it's still taught as a theory.
You bashed holmes saying that he shouldn't talk about christianity because he is ignorant, yet it is extremely apparent that you know nothing about evolutionary theory. Do you even know what a theory is?

Everything outside of the world of mathematics and logic is theory. You accept gravity as real, yes? Well guess what, it is a theory too, and the fact that this is your only argument against evolution strips you of any credibility you may have had.

EDIT: In these threads it becomes very clear who here is educated properly.

I'll have to agree here. But the funny thing is that SCIENCE has PROVEN that darwin's ideas are NOT possible and yet the public school still teach evolution. Funny thing about SCIENCE is there is a LARGE movement TOWARDS the belief of a CREATOR. Now don't get me wrong here ... science has NOT proven that there IS a creator but just that it seems there is intelligent design to the universe. Has anyone EVER looked at just how the earth is set up? Move the earths axis a few degrees and what happens? What about changing gravity just a hair? How about we do away with dust? Find some answers ... it is pretty interesting to say the least.

OP- Stay strong man! Finding the truth is a hard task. Convincing other about that truth is even more difficult (see all the off topic posts here LOL). Keep digging, keep searching, and keep your head up!

People can believe whatever they want, it's not my mission to convince them of anything. I don't honestly care if you think the universe was created by a zebra named Peggy, that's not my business and I'm not going to hold it against you. Man might have made religion, but religion doesn't make a man.

Please do share how science has disproven the theory of evolution by natural selection. That very statement you made is hilarious.

Seriously, go read a book or take some classes.

This post is complete jibberish. I might as well be talking to a kindergartner. Where did you hear that science has disproven evolution, from your sunday school teacher? Evolution is as close to fact as any other scientific theory. There is overwhelming evidence in support of evolution. Pope John Paul himself even endorsed evolution AND the Big Bang as science fact. Fuck man, get out of this thread.

One question TwoJs as I'm too tired right now to really start with you...

What makes you even remotely qualified to speak on such a subject? Does sitting in a class and reading a book make you an expert? I'm gonna guess you're an engineering student or something and only took general study classes so you, yourself ARE NOT qualified. You're probably some 21 year old kid who hasn't graduated yet and doesn't know a THING about this subject.

Oh and there are plenty of SCIENTIFIC articles disproving evolution - probably as many as there are trying to prove it.

There is no right or wrong on this subject imo. One creator or one cell. Who the fuck cares. We're all here now and we as humans are doing a fucking shitty job with what we have imo. This is as seperated as this country has ever been and it's only going to get worse.

girls, it's been fun but I gotta get to bed, woman is waiting to give me a massage :shark
