But he is a well known conservative advocate, and his Fox News channel is still the most biased source of news on any major television station. Even the liberal MSNBC can't hold a candle to the slant and bias the is Faux news. They have a dozen conservative pundits and not one centrist or liberal. Not a single one.
Personally I prefer to get my news from as unbiased a source as possible, so I usually go to CNN, the BBC or the IHT. All of those are known for their excellent reporting and investigating, and stay away from conservative/liberal punditry and other biased crap. To those in this thread who say they like to get their news from Fox, I suggest you try a more reliable and credible source.
Here are the facts:
News Corp gave 77% of their campaign contributions to the DNC in the last election cycle.
GE, which owns NBC and MSNBC gave the DNC 93% of their campaign contributions in the last election cycle.
BTW, the BBC even admitted that they are biased:
A leaked account of an 'impartiality summit' called by BBC chairman Michael Grade, is certain to lead to a new row about the BBC and its reporting on key issues, especially concerning Muslims and the war on terror
Excerpt:
"At the secret meeting in London last month, which was hosted by veteran broadcaster Sue Lawley, BBC executives admitted the corporation is dominated by homosexuals and people from ethnic minorities, deliberately promotes multiculturalism, is anti-American, anti-countryside and more sensitive to the feelings of Muslims than Christians."
You can read the rest of the article using the link I provided.
And there are plenty of left of center and moderates on FNC
In fact, I see more liberal commentators on FNC then most other channels.
Juan Williams, Mara Liasson, Geraldo Rivera, just to name a few off the top of my head.
Not to mention the numerous liberal guests to provide a counter argument so both sides are heard.
But you obviously don't watch FNC - you just C & P what your perception of them is based on falsehoods as I've already demonstrated.
And for some reason, you avoided the fact that the MSM gave 78% of their campaign money to the DNC
I guess that is your idea of balance.
Imagine your outrage if News Corp gave 78% of their campaign contributions to the RNC
But not a word when the MSM gives 78% of their campaign contributions to the DNC
No bias there.
No sireee. None at all.
I've posted demonstrable facts complete with links to non-partisan sources.
You have posted your biased opinion.
One more, for good measure:
18 of the top 20 media outlets are left of center.
Is FNC right wing, or are they to the right of the MSM which is demonstrably left of center?
Perhaps FNC in contrast to the rest of the MSM appears to be right-wing, but when put in the correct perspective, they are closer to the middle then a majority of the media.
Seeing how 18 of the top 20 media outlets are left of center and that the media gave 78% of their campaign contributions to the DNC in the last election cycle and 70% since 1990, it appears that the MSM is biased left.
Yet you don't seem to have an issue with those facts and continue to call FNC biased while promoting outlets such as the BBC, which admits their own left of center bias as being credible and unbiased.Last edited by E30 Cabrio; 05-08-2009, 02:57 PM.sigpic

Just about every source of media is biased in some way or another. I have my RSS feed set up with BBC and Al Jazeera because they don't have the pro-America bias that ALL of our major networks have. I also have CNN for headline news and the Seattle Times for local news.

BBC admits it has an anti-American bias:
A leaked account of an 'impartiality summit' called by BBC chairman Michael Grade, is certain to lead to a new row about the BBC and its reporting on key issues, especially concerning Muslims and the war on terror
And Al-Jazeera?
I'll let that statement stand on its own.

Not I know you're crazy. None of those people are center or liberal. And any 'liberal' guests they bring on are either play meek and dumb or get shouted over by Hannity the raving lunatic.
You're saying FNC has more liberal commentators than MSNBC? You need to pull your head out of your ass and learn introduce yourself to reality if you think FNC isn't the most biased news channel on TV.
I'm done here. You're obviously beyond all hope.

What else can you expect though? ...From someone who softens their brain from alcohol abuse for most of their life.
How about when he said to the first Muslim elected to Congress, "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies"...
Who the fuck can take this guy seriously?Last edited by BobombETA; 05-08-2009, 03:46 PM.

It's interesting to see that a discussion on Glenn Beck turned into someone raving about campaign contributions from networks to various campaigns. My my how we've gotten off track rather quickly.
Back on track...I think the guy is full of a bunch of catch phrases and bullshit that will keep people tuned in to see what the next "huge deal" will be. I don't really see him as someone that has anything terribly important or commanding to say.
To be honest, i think watching a show like his has to be put into the same context as watching a show like Jon Stewart's Daily show or Stephen Colbert's Colbert Report. The each have some superficial messages and some laughs, but in the end, there really isn't a whole lot of substance there.
Anyone can take 10 second clips of incidents and bend them to suit their needs, these guys just make lots of money doing it.

I'm done here. You're obviously beyond all hope.
You've posted insults, made statements you can't back up, made statements that were blatantly incorrect and proven so, and you also misquoted me.
And you're still ignoring the elephant in the room - the fact that the MSM gave 78% of their campaign cash to the DNC in the last election cycle, which I posted proof of, and 70% since 1990.
Yet you're ranting about FNC being biased?
Yes, you are done because you never got started.
So go ahead and run away from the facts I've posted, such as your "unbiased" BBC admitting that they have an anti-American bias, or any of the other demonstrable facts I've posted.
I'd run too if I just got bitch slapped around with facts the way you just did.
And according to you, Mara Liasson, Juan Williams and Geraldo Rivera are conservatives by your claim that they are neither liberal or centrists and you call me crazy?
Come back when you have some demonstrable facts to back up your arguments as you currently haven't any.sigpic

Stewart and Colbert are on COMEDY central at 11 and Beck is on a "NEWS" channel at 5!!
His program is comedy and maybe it should be on CC, because i only watch it to see what bullshit comes out of his mouth..
Scary part is people watch his show and agree with his views!!

It's a shame no one else in the media bothers to investigate this criminal enterprise.

In fact, I proved that the company that owns FNC financially supported the Dems by a 3-1 margin.

Claiming that other news stations are biased (which is a worthless statement) is not a response to someone claiming that Fox is biased. Your saber-rattling and completely indignant self-righteousness are not making as big an impression as you hoped, right? Shame.

Fox News is not biased. Noticed I stressed the word "news" there. They mostly cover what happened today kind of stuff and don't spend their time airing crap like that CNN "report" on the tea party rallies. They fairly and honestly cover what President did and said for example. They don't editorialize (much, certainly much less than other stations).
Fox opinion shows are definitely based around mostly conservative viewpoints and what they beleive to be key issues.
However, and this is the important part that most seem to miss: they still don't misrepresent facts like other networks are prone to do.
Yes, Beck gets on a roll and rants about all kinds of stuff I find somewhat silly and not deserving of air time. All their show hosts will pull out some catch phrase or their interpretation of the situation and brow beat their guests with it. It is showmanship and that's about it.
Fox uses this type of opinion show to get the ratings up. MSNBC, CNN, et -al use this type of opinion AS THE NIGHTLY NEWS. That is a huge difference and frankly, I am very surprised people don't understand that.
So Glen Beck is going off on Acorn? Good. It isn't really news right now, but Acorn should not be receiving government funding and the situation should be investigated properly. It isn't really news right now because there is nothing new, but somebody trying to get some attention on it is good. Maybe it will become news at some point.
Some of you seem to forget that you can't avoid the liberal media if you live in the US. Every time I read a piece on line from one of the major sources, including the AP, I see what they put out. They call it news.
Most of you complaining about Fox news don't watch fox news and also don't look at their web site. Obviously you are afraid it will burn your eyes out or you too might get brainwashed into thinking rationally. Stop repeating what you "hear" and start paying attention. Even if you find that Fox still does not work for you, at least you have opened your eyes and made an informed decision all on your own instead of repeating the "Faux" News thing that you heard some asshole HBO comic say at some point.1987 E30 325is
