That is the problem with the B5 S4 (I am a former owner), you are so detached from the road and the environment due to all the Audi BS that you have no sense of what is going on around you. I can not even tell you the number of times that I was driving through the middle of Nevada and looked down at the speedo only to be shocked that I was going that fast. The car is just plain numb. 100mph in an E30 feels more fun than 176 in the S4.
