Best way to make an effective flowchart?

I'm used to using a different program - all I have here is microsoft products. Any tips on making a nice flowchart with excel or powerpoint?

I've used Microsoft Visio for flow charts, it works OK and can be imported to excel/PP

^ agree, visio is the one you want.

For a basic easy to make flow chart, PP works good. There is a tool for it buried in the menu system somewhere.

That's what I'm using now. It would work well for s simple process but it sucks horribly for what I'm doing.
