I have heard the "ammo shortage" topic brought up quite a few times lately so I did some poking around and found this article. Pretty interesting.

It was in short supply when I was in California, but when I got to Idaho, they sell it behind the counter at the Grocery store.

Some of the stuff that comes from your mouth is just plain dumb and unfounded. Class 3 weapons that you speak of is an amazing investment. Since transferable Class 3 stuff has to have been made before the end of 86 that creates a supply and demand situation.

For example a brand new in box Mac 10 in year 2000 sold for $800 plus taxes. Today good luck to find that same gun for $3000 plus taxes. Not a bad return on your money. Oh and also if you use it, it does not really effect the value of the gun.

Now thats a new one for me...... Walmart or a local sporting good stores around here are a great place for that. Rifle and pistol ammo on the other hand is hard to come by at a good price!

The only gun you really need is a handgun for house protection, im surprised how many ppl own over the top weapons.

What are you talking about, EVERYWHERE has shotgun shells. What they don't have are 9mm, .22, .38., .30-30, or .22 magnum. The only handgun ammo around right now is .357 mag, .44 mag, and 500 mag. It's really depressing and prices are going up because of it.

The stuff I found was about $40 for 20 rounds Magtech brand. It usually sells out Wednesday mornings when it gets delivered.
