To boost search engine hits you're going to need to Search Engine Optimization, you can either pay someone to build SEO into your website or you can start reading up on it and do it yourself. SEO will help with your search engine ranking.
I'm not sure how much someone would charge, and it's something you need to stay on top of because Search Engines change their algorithms often so people can't just build a website in a way that gets them ranked.
Things that make a big difference: Having websites link to your website, having tags in your website with keywords (think they are metatags, but I don't really know because I despise web design). Just google it.
i believe that "google analytics" allows the spiders to crawl through your site more efficiently in a sense making your site easier to locate and pop up in search's.
This is where you can link your site to Google, provide XML feeds, etc, so Google can actually scrape your site and get all the necessary keywords.
Yes, you need Analytics, but you need webmaster tools so your site gets successfully loaded into Google.
Also, search on SEO (Search Engine Optimization), there are lots of free sites out there, along with a few really good pay ones... SEOMOZ rings a bell.
