MMMM more greed, more recession. Come now oil companies your making great profits at $70 a barrel we shouldn't be higher than $2.10 a gallon.

Oil companies are not helping except the fact that diesel is cheaper than gas again? Go figure.

Not at this rate, left fuel was at 2.05 came home to 2.52 for regular in my area. was only gone 15 days.

Yes it happens, but from what I just reviewed Michigan is at almost 3.00 a gallon for regular not like oil is at 130 a barrel. It's significantly lower and there are alot less hot spots this year.

No Nigeria nor Venezuela issues this year, no more BUSH is causing it....I expect fuel to rise for high driving season but people are still not spending and unemployment is at a new high so who's driving alot?

Oh dont whine I just moved 1300 miles and the fuel bill for my car on a wagon behind the tahoe was about 240 bucks and my truck with a heavy loaded down horse trailer was about the same in diesel.

You are gonna have 250ish in fuel thats not bad at all for moving, and also I might say run at night as much as you can, 1 eaiser driving and its cooler, thus keeping tranny temps down and the A/C off or at least not on as much both will increase you mileage

Speculators again and the fact that many refineries all over the country are on shut downs or partial shut downs for refits and up grades. An the rest are not running at 90-100% capacities to keep supplies of refined product artificially low.

That and its summer time, price always goes up in the summer, and 2:50 is less than 1/2 what it was last year so there for is a good deal and people are not gonna bitch because last summer is fresh in their heads.

You should bitch...if they let you get comfy with 2.50 next is 3.25 next year then 4.10 the next year and so on. Fuel is lower than pre Katrina yet we are paying for it.

I know that, but like I said supply of refined product is kinda low due the fact that refineries are on refits and maintenance shut downs and not producing as much end product as they were pre Katrina. That coupled with the speculators trying to get another oil bubble going again is pushing the price of fuel up again.

Short in supply? Don't see to many stations around saying they have no fuel. Agreed with the artificial shortage but I keep hearing we it's better than last year....

Though the barrel of oil has moved up about $20 per barrel since hitting this past low, the price of gas is rising because the US Dollar is tanking. Oil is traded on the world market and our dollar is weak, driving prices such as oil and food higher. Expect the prices to continue to climb.
