actually its a old redneck trick to ad power steering fluid in small amounts if you have a leaking head gasket or knocking valves. Its a thinner oil that sits on top coating places other oil cant get to. With the Aditive in the PS Fluid, it expands paper gaskets and will get you by in bad times.
This is also a used car sales trick. For it will make the engine quieter, and not smoke as bad if smoking.
