Yeah, I would recommend getting a nice reliable car till $700 doesn't look like much money anymore. It will make your life a lot easier.

I was going to say, get anything OTHER than a French car.

Sounds like a Civic or Corolla is just in line for you. Get a reliable, easy to work on car, get your life squared away, and you will see how nice it is to not have to worry about those things.

Then, you can start worrying about girls and things of that nature.... :drink:

Dude don't even sweat it. You're in HS. Things could a lot worse. You'll look back in 2 - 3 years and realize how temporary and inconsequential this summer without wheels was.

I know this exact feeling, I took my 318is off the road in the middle of winter because I was feeling the warning signs of a dying head gasket.

With school, lacrosse, emt class, a gf, yard work, and a thousand other things I've just gotten into it now.

Luckily for me though I'm friends with a guy who owns a euro car shop and I'm watching it for him for 3 weeks while he's in Germany. Your luck will turn around.

                          But riding the bus sucks.

I've put 40k into my e30 and never even driven it.

Does that make you feel better or worse? lol.
