He'll yea I learn no shit everyday. I figure if I do end up owning another e30, some of the information I've retained will be put to good use + there is no better place to talk about just random stuff too.

I just replaced the cooling system on my E39 with everything but the radiator. I'm at 90k and no signs of there being an issue (knock on wood).

My e30 has been sitting untouched in my driveway since it had a fire almost 3 years ago, I now have an e39 with 120k on it and it's been extremely reliable but I don't love it the same way I loved the e30. I agree about the e39 forums, filled with douchebags. That's why I still read this site daily.

I replaced the water pump for preventive measures at 180,000 miles and it had a plastic impeller. The expansion tank was leaking and I replaced it with a Behr one which cracked and started leaking 2 months later :(. I bought the car and said screw it, changed the plugs, water pump, radiator, expansion tank, the pulleys, the belts, all hoses and put new disk and pads on. The car is always a pain in the ass with little things going wrong. I would rather have a pimp e28 for the wife but she wont let me sell it.
