Yeah, would love to know what thearkitekt ment.
They are good solid cars, with the same sort of kinks other car manufacturers also have.
The biggest problem Saab has had recently is the badge engineering that GM loved doing for the last decade or so. Engines from Opel, the 9-7X (Chevy Trailblazer) 9-2X (Subaru Impreza), and bits and stuff all over the place.
The biggest thing about these news is that at least the manufacturing will stay in Trollhättan, and not in some no-name factory in China.Comment

Good thing that us Scandinavians don't have to suffer from those "fake Saabs".
Compared to most GM products IMO Saabs are quite superior in quality, apart the big troubles with late 90's and early 00's breather system and poor turbo chargers, which both are considered to be solved by simple upgrade in breather system. There was not a real recall about this, but many customers got upgrade and new turbo free many years after the car warranty was expired.
That was a major problem, but quite nothing compared e.g. to BMW m57d30 swirlflap flaw which has caused many completely destroyed engines under 150Kkm in Europe and BMW usually refuses to participate the costs in those cases.Current:
