    Hurricane Season

    Tuned my borthers 45kw generator.
Just did oil/filter, plugs, coolant, air filter and belt. Maybe $80 for all. Made him use some nice Mobil 1 fully syntetic. Good for a year or two now. Service would have cost him $350. Found some loose bolts on the ground from the last tool that worked on it. Maybe they vibed out. Loctited now. Told him to get a deep cycle Marine battery.
PS: We got 1000 gallon propane tank for this bitch.

                4500sq ft home.
Very cool motor. 2.4L, 4 cylinder, naturally aspirated, 8.5:1 Compression. This thing will run for weeks without stopping. Just bring a 1/2 barrel and a dead animal. We got a keg machine keeping things frosty in the summer.

It might be based on a Honda engine. Gonna have to check that.

So do I. I figured if I got everything tightened up we might be spared this year.

did you get that when the government was refunding people that bought them during the hurricane season a few years ago?

Because that GenSet you have is some pretty penny! A godsend when everyone else has lost power for weeks on end!

and it looks like a Toyota engine to me... sort of...

Setup is like $20k+. House cost $1.1 mil. So no big deal for the owner. Big deal for me, I drive a '89 BMW. This is my bunker for the summer.
