dude when i went to buy the phone last year, all they had were the white 16GB ones. i was looking for a black 8GB. i caved anyway and now wouldn't have it any other way, even though at the time i thought the white was too flashy. the white is way easier to keep clean, and scratches aren't seen as easily, either. so anyway, my new 3G S is a white 32GB...
got the new iphone 3G S!

yes it is worth it. the difference between 3G and EDGE is immense, and the difference between the actual speeds of the phones and the features are pretty large too, now.
the amount of money you will pay extra depends on your current data plan/texting plan is.Comment

hey josh, i have a nearly perfect 16GB white model. it has one small blemish on one of the corners from a drop from about 3 feet onto hardwood floor (just being honest). other than that it is perfect. PM me if you are srs bzns about it.
otherwise i will just unlock it and put it on ebay.its not called the 2g. the 3G is called the 3G because of the 3G network. that pisses me off almost as much as when some one calls my car a beamer and not a bimmer.
the bill will not change. I pay 89 with unlimited text, 450 mins, and early night and weekends

i'm pretty sure the plan required by ATT at the time of the release of the original iphone is cheaper than the one required now. so again i say, depending on the plan you have currently (which ATT can't force you to change if you don't change phones), it could go up a little bit if you buy a 3G or 3G S.Comment

that is why, if you read the rest of the quote I told him what I have that makes mine 89. if he has anything less, or more then what I have then yes it will go up.i'm pretty sure the plan required by ATT at the time of the release of the original iphone is cheaper than the one required now. so again i say, depending on the plan you have currently (which ATT can't force you to change if you don't change phones), it could go up a little bit if you buy a 3G or 3G S.
and you are very right about the speeds of the phones and the speeds of the networks. there is a very big difference and its much better now

just a bit of a question. I Want to upgrade to an i phone, which provider should I go with? My Verizon plan ends in August and I'm pretty sure Verizon doesn't offer the i phone.1985 M10b18. 70maybewhpoffury. Over engineered S50b30 murica BBQ swap in progress.

you can also unlock the phone for free, and use it with T-mobile or any other carrier who is GSM, but if you are switching carriers you might as well just switch to ATT and get the 2 year contract discount rather than buying an iphone for full price or on ebay and then unlock it and go with another carrier.Comment

Verizon should be getting the iPhone in the next couple of months so stick with it and get an iPhone through them.

Quick note on this though. You can't use the iPhone 3g on T-Mobile. ATT and T-mobile use different HSDPA frequencies.you can also unlock the phone for free, and use it with T-mobile or any other carrier who is GSM, but if you are switching carriers you might as well just switch to ATT and get the 2 year contract discount rather than buying an iphone for full price or on ebay and then unlock it and go with another carrier.Comment
