I have a few DVD's with important frames, (Family members on old TV shows/Movies) and I would like to pull an image to print/frame for them from those scenes. What and how should I go about this?

Well, dvd resolution is 720x480 in ntsc and i think 720x576 in pal... so that's going to be your size of image capture before doing anything re-sizing etc.
DvdShrink or DvdDecrypter should give you an option to save a frame iircMtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

Use that as your reference. And since it (sounds) like amateur footage, you're probably going ot have alot of artifacting and what not.
Let me know if you run into trouble.

Should be fine then, if they're professionaly mastered then you should get pretty good results, if you can manage to find them on HD-DVD or BluRay (fat chance I know) the resolution they come out at are gonna be much higher.
