    Question about buying an out of state car

    im from CA and im buying a car from Arizona. what do i have to do once I return it to California? Do i have to smog and register? is it complicated? just want to know whats up ahead.

    Smog and register, that's it.

    Make sure some retard in AZ didn't gut the cats as they can be expensive to replace.

      You need to smog it and take your car to the DMV for them to do a "vehicle verification". Then register it.

        Yep, catalyst issues could be your only problem. It could be a federal car, which would require different catalyst replacement. Is it an e30?

            Make sure youve got some matching vins throughout the car. I couldnt even pop my hood for them to see the EPA labels, and I was ok. Its pretty simple....

                If it's a 49 state car, it stays a 49 state car, you do not need to add stuff ( or change it ) to make it a Cali unit.
