I thought I would add my own to the list of RIPs. I JUST found out about it.
After suffering from a reported short illness at the liver intensive care unit at King’s College Hospital in London, Andy Hughes, British producer, DJ and former member of The Orb, passed away on June 12th 2009. Hughes, born 11th November 1965, is best known for his work on The Orb albums, "Orbus Terrarum", "Orblivion" and "Cydonia" as well as the singles from this period.
Prior to his Orb years Hughes had helped to design and build the studios for Bunk Junk & Genius and worked with many famous artists. In 2000 he started producing music on his own and more recently produced music for artists such as Kovak and Basement Jaxx at their neighboring studios in Brixton, London. Next to this he remixed The Cranberries and Tangerine Dream.
