They couldn't have made the 6G ipod classic any shittier. They lag, they freeze, they skip songs, and now my 160gig is telling me I have nothing on it, no pics, vids, or music even though it says there's still an obvious amount of memory being used. :hitler: Biggest waste of money ever, I so want to smash it to bits and get a Zune 120. The stupid fucking front face isn't even flush around the edges.

Only the 6G has pissed me off so far. The goddamn harddrive is noisy, and it clicks like there's gears inside stripping or something. So gay, cuz it started doing this right after my warranty ended, and now it's pretty much bricked. I mean I was okay with it being a laggy, sometimes song skipping piece of shit but now I can't even use it, nor can I afford a new mp3 player. Apple's quality on the 6G really started slipping, it shows online too. Tons of bugs and issues. I think I'll sell it on ebay to some nerd that can fix ipods, since the 160 was discontinued.
It used to work fine, but ever since I did a software update about a year and a half ago it's been doing this. So annoying.Last edited by Streichholzschächtelchen; 06-29-2009, 12:15 PM.Jah bless! :pimp:

the clicking is the hard drive making bad reads. if you want to back up the music on there, i would recommend you stop trying to play it with the clicking. Otherwise deal, it outlasted it warranty, congratsOriginally posted by george graves
Are you kidding me? That nerd doesn't even know how his dick works, let alone a car.

Connect ipod to computer, enable disk use, open my computer, open ipod, click tools, view, "Show hidden files and folders" , apply, ok, open Ipod_Control, open "Music", there will be a bunch of folders F01, F02, ect. this is your music, if there are still files in there music is still on your ipod, if not restore and resync

pretty sure it means a small matchbox
I have all of my music backed up, I just don't want my ipod to be useless. Of course they want $30 for a phone call to see what's up with my ipod, no promise of it being fixed, just a phone call. Jeez. Looks like ebay time.Jah bless! :pimp:

Why don't you just go to an Apple store and talk to a Mac Genius. Its free.
And stop complaining to people who don't work for Apple.alexw

The stuck up pricks at the nearest apple store, in SF feel that since it's past the 90 day warranty it's not worth their time, and they just want me to cash out and send it to Apple. Sorry for bitching about apple but honestly they monopolized, and now they're raping my wallet along with a lot of other people's just because they can get away with it, and if this keeps even one person from buying their new, lower quality pieces of junk then I'll feel atleast a little better. /incessant tantrum.Jah bless! :pimp:

Anyway doesn't Janderson work for apple?
Op try the 5 R's first
Reset your Ipod
Retry with a different usb port
Restart your computer
Reinstall ipod firmware
Restore your ipod
This is a somewhat common problem, especially when removing your ipod from your computer without ejecting.Last edited by HiTheNameIsBJ; 06-29-2009, 01:53 PM.
