wire nuts are for house hold electronics not cars...and i wouldn't even use them in my house. I hope he didn't pay very much for that swap, looks like a fire hazard

ive been doing this for years dude. i crewed on many a race team making split second spur of the moment repairs in the pit with wire nuts. i charged him 3500 for labor to swap in a non vanos m50 with custom harness and hes thrilled,. he supplied all the parts

spur of the moment at a race is one thing...charging 3500 to wire nut and hose clamp wires together is completely another...

i guess i dont get your point. what would you charge for labor to install the motor and custom wire it?? im not trying to be a smart ass but i think 3500 is fair for what he got. but i welcome your opinion

Blunt is a very reputable mechanic. If he told me to take a shit in my valve cover I'd do it.

Do you honestly not believe that using hose clamps to connect battery wires and wire nuts is perhaps not the best plan? Is this how you do all your conversions? What shop do you work for? I'm honestly just curious now. I don't want to be and azz but that is some seriously shady wiring. I can't imagine that being a reliable setup, but i have seen worse that didn't catch on fire...

Dude, you're totally being an azz whether you mean to or not. There are millions of people out there with similar conversions and less than 5% of them have caught on fire. You've gotta go with the stats.

im solely talking about the wire nuts and hose clamps...is that really how a million people have their swaps wired?

this is the one of the recent cars i wired, just so you know i'm not just blowing hot wind haha
