Paid less than that for almost the same thing with a 22 inch monitor and it was new.

usually a dell deal every other week or so.sigpic -
I buy refurbished PC stuff from time to time. If it is factory refurbished a lot of the time it's actually new, or was used as a demo unit at a trade show or something (aka B-stock). Everything I've got as "refurbished" even had that "new electronics" smell.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

Why on earth would you ever buy a DELL????? They are some of the absolute worst built PC's on earth, ever opened one up? What happened to the Processor Fan.....why is there a big tube there instead? Wanna upgrade a part? Forget about it. Dell is shit, DO NOT BUY A DELL!
If you want a good pc buy either an HP, Sony or Custom. Hell if you want I'll build you a custom PC just let me know what your budget is ad what you want.Comment

I don't know...I've heard HP's don't have good records in terms of quality control. I've never been much of a computer guy...just need it to stay alive and be fast enough to support today's standard programs. Maybe some drafting software.
Dell just seems like the likely candidate? I'm not heartset on it, guess I just don't know any better.sigpic
