I think what he meant was, the console versions have been playing online for the past week or so. I haven't heard about anyone getting their hands on the PC version before release.

Finally, releasing the game for console gamers a week ahead of the PC version assured that it will be heavily pirated, since you can get it off the net right now.

Cheating happened to a very limited extent before, since punkbuster was available on most servers. It will of course still be present in MW2.

I'm talking about the PC version which was changed significantly from previous versions. This has nothing to do with the PS3 which has more or less the same multiplayer system as previous versions.

no clan. no familiars you can shoot in the face. just what "the man" (iw) wants you to play.

i'm still against their MP setup, but curiosity is eating away at me and im about to blow this gift card i got from my birthday on this. technically i'm not giving IW "MY" money, so i deem it ok.

Uh, you haven't actually played the game have you? You can still play with your friends, you can still have private games and there is still a place for clans.

I didn't pre-order the game, Game Stop had 20 people waiting outside. Target = 0. Beat the game in about 7 hrs; which I've heard it's supposed to take 5-10 hrs. I thought the story was good, and I heard about the controversial levels when they showed up on digg and youtube. I'm actually interested that a game developer took it to this level; while GTA makes it a parody that you can kill random people on the street (who are unarmed), when it's situated in a FPS; it's shameful. (Which I disagree)

And to the comment that said "its just pixels". The ARMY game was used to recruit soldiers; they invested money for tournaments. And if you take a look at the unarmed planes / droids; the person in charge is sitting in a room, with essentially a joystick and a screen. The argument can be said that there is a removed physically relationship; which allows the person behind the screen to have no feeling. It's an instant trigger; no second thoughts.

Honestly you guys need to stop complaining about this server BS....
    Seriously who cares?

This game still has the BEST campaign of all time, along with the BEST multiplayer ever in my opinion.

That's not how they matched games on COD4, did they switch it so it's more like Halo now?
I can't confirm this but I suspect it is the case. It seems like I am always placed in games with people within a few levels of me.
