    Autobahn pile-up

Kinda hard to beleive their $2mil damage estimate for 250+ cars. I did see at least one 911 in there...

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

            you are an idiot!
how do you even know what the speed limit was on that section of the A2??? they had it coming????WTF???
I drive on the autobahn every morning to work-- does that mean I should be injured in an accident???--- just because it is "called" the "AUTOBAHN"--which translated into english is HIGHWAY does'nt mean there are no speedlimits------ and with the level of driverstraining/education (costs about 2000 dollars for your license here) most people are alot better drivers here.

you shouldnt speak unless you know what your talking about.

All of this is why I'm surprised there was such a serious accident.

I want to drive there someday.

Whoa, you don't see that shit very often.

Specially since the Autobaun is safer than our highways.

How is that hard to believe? Thats less than 10k per car. If a few are 50k, then some are at near 0 etc.

                      Epically tragic.

There was at least one flattened late model 911 there. That's probably 100K right there. There were probably at least another 30-50+ totals, and concidering that most of them are late-models, which is the MO for Germany, thats a lot of cash. Then there is the cost of medical expenses, and that helicopter. I don't know the cost per hour to run what looks to be an EC135, but when we go out on forest-fire missions we charge the state $3500/hour on a UH60 and close to $7000/hr for a CH47, and those are reduced rates.

Settle down there Rainier, I took your previous statement as seeing the 2 mil number as a high number. When its low for what happened. We are in agreement. Relax, lol.

I think what they meant by the cost of the pile up is not the cost to fix all the cars, but the cost to have all of the police/fire/medical people there and and cost to run all the equipment to clean the place up.

That would make more sense as I doubt the news stations would care about the cost of the cars individually.
