    Anyone else with a Subaru?

Well about two weeks ago I hit a deer at ~45mph in my shitty 92 Accord, so it was new-car time. I needed a car really quick to be able to get to work and couldn't find a E30 decent enough to use as a daily right away, so I went with my second choice: an Impreza WRX wagon. So anyone else got one? I cannot decide if I want to start modifying this, or save my money and get an E30. Although right now I have no space/money for a second car so I might just do a little bit to this car for the time being.

My plans are exhaust and boost gauge for now. If I decide to keep it, I'll add sway bars, coilovers, and wheels. That'll probably be it unless I fall in love and get real serious about it. Any ideas? Any pics of some nice wagons for inspiration?

yea i worked for them for three weeks and could not stand the amount of bullshit at the dealership. aside from the bullshit i found my want for a subaru vanish. for working in a smaller dealership that didnt sell awhole lot of subarus there sure was alot of them coming back for major work. lots of them coming in and us finding that the head gaskets needing replacement but the customer not knowing about it due to the fact that the plastic skid plate has a diper like material on it that holds all the fluids that the motor leaks. next comes the sweet engine knocking that comes from the sides of the pistions wearing to the point that the pistons fall apart and take out the rest of the motor.

Before you add anything, give it some exercise in a real subaru playground (think non-tarmac).

If you want simple performance that has alot of room to expand, and will save your engine depending on mods, buy an Accessport. Best money i ever spent for mine.:)

              Otherwise, they are great cars.

One of my friends has a similar vintage WRX, it's nice, but if you're really an e30 guy you need to sell it and buy an iX.

I recently purchased a 06 legacy spec b. I could think of a better car to own in this moment of MY life.

                    Keep it stock.

Playing with Subarus gets addictive and you can blow tens of thousands VERY easily. I sure did.

hehe..welcome to the subbie addiction...i work for iag in westminster, md (subbie performance shop)...once you get an exhaust...it never ends after that...

Wrx's are nice..but they are really meant for just a few tasteful mods as opposed to full out mods for serious power. thats when the tranny starts to go. if you really want a modded subbie get an sti..

but +1 for the accessport, which we sell and install no problem. full exhaust, intake, headers, short shift, coilovers, sways and struts, and the accessport and your pretty much set for a wrx..anything more would just be overkill unless you get an ej25 (stiengine)

oh...and spec b's are the shit!

I have already looked up the Accessport. I think that is what I am gonna go for first, actually. My dilemma is that I love the wagon body, but do I want to put so much money into it that I could have saved that money, sold the WRX, and bought a STi that has equal/probably better performance? I don't know. I've got plenty of time to think about it, as I first have to pay off my loan.

And I've already dicked around a tiny bit in gravel lots/smooth grass fields. I can't decide between lowering it and doing autocross, or raising it 0.5" and going rallycross with it. Too much to decide on too soon; I've only had it for about 2 weeks as it is.
